Madelyn Ann ~ 8 months

Dear Maddie,

This past month has been SO much fun! We had your first flight, your first Christmas, first words and so much more! I already recapped our trip to Texas. We did all things Christmas and you were a little trooper through it all. I am pretty sure you had a solid 3 days in a row of not napping in your crib and not having your normal bedtime routine, but you smiled through it all.

I will do an entire post on Christmas (at some point) but for now will say you loved playing with wrapping paper and I am pretty certain your favorite gift is a pink elephant ball popper that Santa brought you.

You are a little chatter box. You LOVE to copy so whenever Nolan screams/yells something we hear a little echo of a scream out of you (it's cute for now).🤗 You can say "hi" and you love, love, love saying "dada". We have heard a few "mama" out of you lately though and my, oh my, I love it. If someone coughs you will copy and when we take a sip of water and do an exaggerated "ahhh" you will copy.

You still love food which is seriously so exciting. Having an extremely picky eater in your brother makes your daddy and I so happy whenever you try something new and chow down on it. You also get so happy when we give you a sippy cup with water that you would think I don't feed you. You suck it down.

We see a tiny bit of white popping through those gums. Your very first itty bitty tooth is making its appearance and it is resulting in some awful sleep. Hopefully we figure out the whole sleeping through the night thing again, soon.

Bath time is still one of your most favorite times. You love to splash water all over the place. You are just starting to get crazy with pulling yourself up on things and now in your baby bath have started to try too. 😒 Another favorite of yours, playing ball. Especially football. You get SO excited for a football!

Speaking of pulling yourself up, the other night when you woke up you were sitting in your crib!! 😱 You have figured out how to pull yourself up from laying to sitting and now we officially need to lower your crib. You are trying so hard to crawl. You can move all over the place, mostly backwards or rotating in a circle, you have gone forwards in an army like crawl, but haven't quite figured it out yet.

You are still very obsessed with your brother and he is so patient with you. He loves to give you hugs and kisses and tell you that he loves you. You are a lucky little lady to have him as your big brother.

And sweetheart, we are so lucky to have you as our little girl. We love you to pieces.

Happy 8 months, beautiful!

Xoxo,
Mommy

A Texas Wedding

Earlier this month we flew to Texas for our beautiful cousin, Kylee's wedding. I was nervous to fly with 2 kids, but overall they were great. The airport consisted of Maddie in the carrier waving hello to anyone and everyone. Nolan is a champion traveler. He loves the airplanes so the hype helps to not let time drag too much awhile waiting to board.

On the way there we thought Maddie would sleep the entire time. She didn't. She slept for the first half of the flight and then she cried for 45 minutes refusing everything because she was overly tired and exhausted to the point that I was shaking a cup of ice to keep her from screaming. Then with about 30 minutes left on the flight she fell sound asleep and stayed asleep until we got to our hotel. Nolan on the other hand played nicely, colored a little bit and then snuggled up between us with his head on my lap and went right to sleep for the larger portion of the flight. We had to wake him when we were getting off the plane and then laid him in our stroller to sleep through the airport. Seriously, champion traveler.

Here we all are ready to go!

On Friday the boys went to the rehearsal because Nolan was the ring bearer!! And me and little missy hung back at the house waiting for everyone.

Once rehearsal was done we went to an adorable Italian restaurant for the rehearsal dinner and it was delicious. We had a fun evening celebrating the couple to be, Kylee and Donny!

And we saw a Santa so naturally we asked Nolan to smile with him because we joke that they are the only Santa pictures we will ever get with Nols.

Saturday was the big day! A fairytale Disney wedding and let me tell you, they nailed it. All of the fine details were so spot on and everything was absolutely beautiful. However, the most beautiful of all was the bride!

But, my little Prince Charming was #1 handsome in my book,

I mean seriously.

Since it had a Disney theme we thought it would be nice for Maddie to wear her Minnie Mouse ears ☺️

When we were heading to the reception the bridal party was finishing up pictures and I thought this was way too cute!

The most beautiful (and so delicious) cakes,

First dance,

Everything was so beautiful and we wish Kylee and Donny a lifetime of love and happiness together! ❤️ Thank you for having Nolan be a part of your special day.

The next day we toured the Dallas Cowboys insane stadium. Insane. The ginormous tv (yeah, it's a real working tv) alone cost $40 million. 🤑 Ryan was in his glory when we stepped onto the field. It was pretty wild, but the Ravens are still my team. 💜

Baby girl stayed with the family and just Ryan, Nols and I went on the tour.

Then we had more family time before we headed back home! ❤️

Good lord I was so nervous to do this again. But this time...they were BOTH angels! They were so good I actually documented it with pictures 😀
