Nolan’s 1 year check-up:
20 lbs – 28%
29.5 inches – 35%
The boy is too smart. When we got to the pediatricians office he definitely remembered that the last time he was there he had to get shots. He was not happy at all! He cried from start to finish…when we put him on the scale, when she checked his ears, when I had to sit him on the table to be checked. Oh Lord, when it was actually time for the shots he decided it was definitely time to scream. He had to get 4 shots. :( Nolan was not a happy camper, but hey, I don’t blame him! I wouldn’t have been either. Other than all of the crying, Nolan had a great checkup! Our pediatrician even seemed surprised by the amount of words Nolie has! We over heard her tell the nurse that “Nolan is very verbal!” She expects that Nolan will pick up about 30 words between now and 18 months. That seems like so many, but I guess it’s not.
Nolan’s vocabulary at 12 months:
“mama”
“dada”
“uh oh”
“ba”(ball)
“gu-gee”(chuggy, our dog)
“peas” (please)
“daa” (done, and waves arms in the air, yay baby signing!)
“hello”
“I love you” (really he just does imitates the sound back, but it can be pretty clear!),
“thank you” (he doesn’t really copy this one much anymore, but there was a spurt where if we gave him something he would say it. We work on “thank you” a lot though!”
I think that’s all of them so far…
Nolan had 2 teeth last Saturday when he turned 1, but by this Saturday for his birthday party he will have 4! The top two teeth have broken through!
