Today is your 2nd birthday! We celebrated all
weekend long! Yesterday, your daddy and I took you to Sesame Place. Mommy got a
deal on LivingSocial, but when we went to download the actual tickets it didn’t
work. After spending all morning on the phone with both Sesame Place and
LivingSocial we got a refund and found another online deal (phew!). We started
off the trip by turning your car seat around. Holy crap, turning you around
makes you seem so much older. I love being able to look back and see you so
easily now though. You seemed to love seeing everything too. We were hopeful
you would nap in the car on our way to Sesame Place, but you did not.
Once we finally arrived at Sesame Place we saw the parade,
went on rides and saw the Elmo musical show. The water park at Sesame Place
looked awesome, but your mommy and daddy are wimps and didn’t want to be cold.
We stuck to dry rides and you seemed to enjoy that! You were so exhausted from not having a nap
that you started to fall asleep on me during the Elmo show, but caught yourself
and said “go ride the horsey”. We decided to dart out of the show early and
take you over to the carousel to wake you up. It did! We rode the carousel
multiple times, along with a few other rides and then you insisted it was time
for dinner, and so we left. Well, not before picking out an Elmo souvenir. J
(Insert far too many pictures........)
I think you have had a pretty great birthday! When you woke up this morning your bedroom was full of balloons! For breakfast you enjoyed a chocolate frosted donut with sprinkles. Everyone came over to have pizza and cake with you. You played outside, opened presents and blew out your birthday candles with no problem on your own!! We finished the day with your cousin, Hayden's dance recital and you sat through the entire show! In other words, you were a rock star!
(Again, way too many pictures!)
Chugs photobombed
"Daddy, I sleep right here with you."
Yes, that is a lollipop in his hand. No, he did not get to eat it right before bed, but he sure did try.
Next weekend we will have your birthday party and I can’t wait to see you run around and play with all your little friends!
It amazes me that it was 2 years ago today that you were born. At the same time, I can’t even remember what life was like without you in it. You bring a smile to our faces daily. You are super silly. You love to make silly faces, do your silly walk and tell everyone you are being silly. You are a ham!
Happy 2nd Birthday to my precious no longer a baby, “baby” boy!!!
We love you!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy
Xoxoxo
Happy 2nd Birthday, Nolie!!!
P.S. – Turning 2 means that you no longer need your pacifier. I called the paci fairy, and she is planning a trip in the near future.
